Open the Window and…Jump! (IN, not out!)

Conferences and contests are two ways writers can have their work read by editors, agents, and published authors. The majority of Ruth’s publishing success is a direct result of entering contests and making contacts by attending writer’s conferences. She’ll discuss sources for finding contests and conferences targeted to your writing style, and also what to consider when submitting.

Create your own window of opportunity, and know when to jump!

“Ruth Spiro's presentation is loaded with ideas, support and valuable information for writers at all levels who want to maximize their opportunities and really understand the intricacies - and realities - of opening "windows" for themselves. This program is a 'must' for those who want to increase their sense of control in a very difficult business!”

Writing for Moms receives rave reviews:

“I really enjoyed reflecting on wonderful family memories, my children. Your class gave me the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moment, as well as the past.  Teaching your class is a true act of chesed (kindness) for all us moms who rush around too much and forget to reflect/journal. Thank you for reminding me how much I enjoy writing and how wonderful it is to really sit back and observe my kids.”
-Julie S.

“Ruth Spiro was a delightful teacher – helpful with the marketing aspects of writing as well as craft and mechanics. She offered so much helpful, practical information – I feel like I learned a great deal and was directed to so many resources I didn’t know of.”
-Hetty B.

“Loved Ruth and her class – she’s a terrific inspiration for an aspiring writer.”
-Linda A.

“The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and accomplished. She had great ideas. She is also a warm person who created an accepting environment for aspiring writers to feel comfortable reading their writing aloud.”
-Greta M.

“Ruth is warm, wonderful, effective… a joy!”
-Kristen S.

Congratulations to Marla, Kristen and Mimi, who have all been published after completing Writing for Moms!
